Salman Rushdie attacker indicted by grand jury

The gentleman accused of stabbing Salam Rushdie has been indicted by a grand jury, in accordance to prosecutors.

Hadi Matar, 24, of Fairview, New Jersey, is scheduled to appear at a courtroom listening to in Chautauqua County on Thursday afternoon, in accordance to the Online News 72h.

Matar was arrested Aug. 12 right after he allegedly rushed the phase at the Chautauqua Institution, stabbing Rushdie many moments as he was making ready to give a lecture.

Rushdie experienced grave injuries in the attack, his agent Andrew Wylie stated, like a weakened liver, the severing of nerves in his arm, and the possible loss of his eye. Nevertheless, he is now off a ventilator, and "his affliction is headed in the ideal path," the agent added on Sunday.
