Netflix has ditched the LGBT tag on its new series on gay serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer following social media backlash.

When it originally debuted, Dahmer was promoted underneath the streaming service's LGBT tag, among the other people. However, this did not sit suitable with some, considering the killer's reputation.

"Lololo that’s hysterical by Netflix. Slapping the LGBTQ tag on Dahmer like 'Looking for LGBTQ material?? Nicely boy do we have the demonstrate for you! Wherever each and every episode one more LGBTQ individual receives massacred & eaten! It is like stating Schindler’s Checklist is a loved ones flick for Jewish men and women," wrote Barstool host KFC.

A different consumer posed the scenario: "Envision clicking on the 'LGBTQ' class and this is what you get" alongside a poster for the demonstrate.

"Netflix introducing dahmer to lgbtq section…uhmmm this is not the variety of representation we want," just one person added.

"If I want to keep in my lane certainly notify me but any individual else think it can be pretty gross of @netflix to record Dahmer beneath #LGBTQ, specially when the Genuine Crime tag would have worked?" another questioned.

"Yo it’s kinda bizarre that the dahmer sequence is in the lgbtq style on netflix… right?" wrote a various user.

The series, starring Evan Peters, has also landed in very hot h2o since some say it is re-traumatizing the people of Dahmer's victims.

In 1992, Dahmer was convicted and sentenced for 16 counts of initial-degree intentional homicide committed among 1978 and 1991. He continues to be identified for the grisly method of the murders, which had been generally adopted by acts of cannibalism and necrophilia.

In a tweet final 7 days, 1 of the victims' cousins said, "I’m not telling anybody what to look at, I know correct criminal offense media is large rn, but if you are basically curious about the victims, my spouse and children (the Isbell’s) are pissed about this present."
