Trump subpoena coming 'shortly,' Liz Cheney claims

Speaking at a forum at Harvard University, Cheney stressed the subpoena, which the House decide on committee permitted unanimously last week, is for Trump's testimony and for documents connected to functions bordering the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

"So we will be issuing a subpoena soon, each for his testimony less than oath as very well as for files. And we are going to acquire regardless of what upcoming steps we have to get assuming that he will fulfill his legal obligation and honor the subpoena, but if that isn't going to materialize, we'll take the ways right after that," Cheney reported.

Trump responded to the Jan. 6 committee's vote to approve a subpoena with a 14-web page assertion on Friday.
