

Aaron Carter dead: Teen idol, brother of Backstreet Boys star dies at 34

"It is with deepest regret," the musician's rep said in a statement, "to report Aaron Carter was found unresponsive this a.m. in his home in Palmdale, CA."
Carter was a solo artist, known for his hits like "Aaron's Party" when he was a teenager, following in the footsteps of his older brother Nick Carter who is part of the Backstreet Boys. Nick Carter would go on to file a restraining order against his younger brother in 2019. The older Carter confirmed at the time that their sister Angel had also filed a restraining order against Aaron.

"In light of Aaron's increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family," Nick Carter wrote at the time.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter that a suspicious death had taken place in Carter's California residence.
Carter's family has not commented publicly on the matter. They were part of an eight-episode reality TV show together called "House of Carters" in 2006.
As recently as this week and last week, Carter was still producing music and sharing samples on his TikTok. On Thursday, he reached 1 million likes which had him ranked 29th in the world according to his Instagram story. His Instagram account has been made private, with his bio claiming that the platform "keeps messing with my IG! But I'm BACK Baby! Can't keep a good man down! Your [sic] playing my game!" He also had his own line of hoodies and sweatpants which he sold on his website along with virtual meet ups on his site or via OnlyFans.
Carter revealed during a 2019 episode of The Doctors that he was schizophrenic, manic depressive, and suffered from multiple personalities as well as acute anxiety. The singer was open about his struggles with drugs and alcohol over the years.
