The Manhattan grand jury will not discuss a possible indictment of former President Donald Trump this week, according to a report.

Multiple sources familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal that the grand jury is not planning to meet again this week. It also postponed a hearing last week regarding an indictment over Trump's alleged hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels. The sources said it isn't clear whether Trump's indictment will be considered next week either.

The latest postponement comes one week after Trump's first predicted date of arrest, raising questions as to whether he will be indicted. The last witness testimony was heard on Monday.

Trump took to Truth Social to reaffirm his innocence and condemn Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

"How do you indict an innocent man, a former very successful President who is now running and leading in the polls, that every legal scholar, and virtually every 'hater,' says, 'Don’t do it, there is no case here?' This is what happens in Third World countries which sadly, the USA is rapidly becoming!" Trump wrote on Tuesday.

The latest development in the Manhattan grand jury investigation came on Monday when former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker testified before the grand jury.
